BookRix Best Cover Art of July 2012!

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but sometimes that’s easier said than done. Allow me to draw a parallel of sorts. When you’re walking through a mall, wouldn’t you say a store’s window aesthetics are what compel you to enter? Of course there are exceptions, for example, sometimes your decision is based off a friend’s recommendation or something you heard about on the radio, etc.  Sometimes, it’s just plain ‘ol curiosity. But the bottom line is, at one time or another, we’ve all seen a book cover that made us cringe. No doubt you’ve walked through a Barnes and Nobel once or twice and never felt the urge to pick up one of the books prominently displayed on their shelves because the cover art was, well, ugly.

With that being said, we’d like to tip our hats in praise to the men and women of BookRix, who cleverly came up with some very interesting and nicely put together cover art for their books. Below is a collage, including all 10 covers selected for the month of July. But please visit our Best of July Cover Art page to see them in their entirety. You’ll be glad you checked it out.
