Happy Birthday, Walt Disney!!!
It’s hard to find someone these days that doesn’t have a soft spot for a Disney movie. Whether it’s an old classic like Dumbo or Bambi or a more recent one like Monsters Inc – there’s something in a Walt Disney movie that grabs you. He knew how to appeal to his audience, both young and old, and he did it well. Going to Disneyland has always been a joyous event for families. Don’t believe us? Head out to Anaheim, California and stand outside the park. You’ll witness swarms of families, from all over the world, speaking in a variety of different languages with one thing in common: smiles. It’s an inspiring site to see.
The person responsible for the Disney Empire is Walt Disney. He was born exactly 111 years ago today. Sadly, he passed away in 1966, just 10 days after his 65th birthday. But he left behind a legacy of influential entertainment that continues to flourish, even in his absence.
Personally, we love the new Disney films and are blown away with the advancements they’ve made in cartoons and animation. However, we can’t forget the classics! Good old black and white, early animation. Like this “Silly Symphony: The Skeleton Dance” from 1929:
Walt Disney, thank you for being the visionary that you were and providing happiness to so many people. We applaud you and wish you were still here to see the evolution and success of your work. Happy Birthday, to an outstanding man!
