I’m a book girl. I always have been and I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon. But I have a confession to make: I’m a huge Steven Spielberg fan. And I don’t think I’m alone here. Maybe it’s because I saw E.T. at a young and impressionable age, or because The Color Purple was the first movie I remember crying over that didn’t involve cartoons. Maybe it’s because Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park were both badass and that I didn’t check my watch once during Munich because it was captivating, I didn’t realize it was almost 3 hours long. And let’s not forget Jaws, the movie that instilled in me a deep fear of the ocean to this very day. This man’s talent knows no bounds. So on this day, December 18th, I’d like to tip my hat to the legendary writer, director and producer who has set the bar so incredibly high: Steven Spielberg. Happy Birthday, fellow Sagittarian!
