Bye, Bye Christmas Tree

Oh hey there, Christmas tree. You’re lookin’ a little brown in the pine there and you’re not smelling so… “forest-like” these days. It’s a shame too, because we watered you every day, like your instructions suggested. And we even put some Asprin in your base cause we heard it’s supposed to keep you all green and sparkly n stuff. But the time has come for you to go.  It’s been real. And it’s been good. So let’s not make this harder than it has to be. Ok?

I know plenty of people with fake plastic Christmas trees, and I get it. More bang for your buck, no fallen pine to clean up, no watering obligations. Trust me, I like easy. But there’s something about going to the X-mas tree lot in December, cruising countless rows of trees, looking for that perfect tree. And then you find it – and all is right in the world.

It’s a shame you can’t keep them all year long, but that’s what makes December special! But it’s January already, and you know what that means… out with the old, and in with the new! So on behalf of new beginnings, take down your lights, toss your tree, and settle down with a good eBook. Not sure which one to read? Here are two we’re sure you’ll like!
