It’s All About The Benjamins!

A brief American history lesson from a Canadian living in Germany

Today is Benjamin Franklin’s birthday and he’s worth celebrating. In 1750 he published a proposal for an experiment to prove that lightning is electricity by flying a kite in a storm that appeared capable of becoming a lightning storm. But it’s not like he was just flying kites all day; not only was he a scientist, he was also an author, one of the Founding Father’s of the United States, a political theorist, a politician, a postmaster, a musician, an inventor, a satirist, a civic activist, a statesman, and a diplomat. And I thought I was busy!

As a tribute to “The First American” here are some wonderful books by BookRix authors from the United States. These stories are about the hardships and rewards of shaping a nation. Go Team America!
